Designers Rune Krøjgaard and Knut Bendik Humlevik have created a contemporary silhouette of a classic Scandinavian dining chair inspired by traditional Danish primary school chairs. Like the school chair, it had to be comfortable and very durable, so the frame of the “NY11” chairs was made of solid oak, and the seat was made of oak veneer. “NORR11’s” entire range of wooden furniture is produced with water-based lacquer. Using water-based lacquers reduces the emission of harmful substances significantly, improving indoor climate.
